Session one ended without much fuss. With few campers our job is remarkably easy, and everyone was falling into their roles nicely. We also finished paperwork, which normally goes into the late hours on Friday (accompanied with much stress and sugar-eating), Friday evening, which is basically unheard of. Hopefully this trend continues into the summer.
This week, session 2, we are busier, but unfortunately things feel really odd due to the unfortunate weather. It is cold, and rains nearly every day. I think I would almost prefer unbearable heat to this chilliness. Please continue to pray for sunshine and heat!
Other than that, camp continues, as it always does. The theme is week is Lego Land, which is hilarious, featuring program team members wearing huge boxes and lego heads.
On a personal note, I'm having trouble focusing on camp and not worrying about things outside of it. If you could pray that I stay focused I would really appreciate it.
This week has also made me thankful for all the incredible people God has placed in my life at camp. They are there to laugh with me but also are there when I am going through difficult times and need someone safe to talk with. I don't think I am more grateful for anything other in my earthly life than my friends (my family, really) at OPC.
Still working on finding camera… Hopefully soon I can show you some of the life here.
