Shortly after my last post, the sun thankfully came out and stayed out for the rest of the week. We were blessed with glorious, glorious sunshine and heat, meaning that I felt like I had a purpose and my campers in boating could actually enjoy their activity.

The week went incredibly fast though. I can't believe we're already done session two! In a few minutes I will head up to chapel, and then things will quickly happen for the start of session three. This is our biggest session yet, but fortunately we have an abundance of staff! This means that although everyone will be tired, it won't be the bone-tired exhaustion that occurs when we are lacking people to make camp run.

A funny story for you: the other day I was ringing the Boat's In Bell, a bell I ring to tell everyone out in a boat that it is time to come back in, because the Waterfront will be closing soon. It's an awkward bell, so normally I have pull down to ring it to make it ring loud enough. I guess that time I was pulling too hard, because in the middle of its chimes, it came crashing down on my hand. It was painful, but mostly hilarious, as all the staff who had been watching laughed at me.

Gotta run to chapel!
